Take Action
How to Use Published Strategies:
1. Add the Strategy to Your Chart:
Once you’ve found the script on TradingView, simply click “Add to chart” to apply it to your desired futures contract and timeframe. The strategy’s signals and any conditions you’ve configured (alertcondition() calls or signals from built-in plots) will become visible.
2. Set Up Alerts:
With the strategy on your chart, you can create alerts based on the conditions it triggers. For example, if the strategy enters a long position following a volume spike and an uptrend confirmation, you can use TradingView’s alert system to notify you in real-time on your device.
3. Combine With Your Existing Analysis:
Consider using the strategy’s signals in conjunction with your own price action reading, fundamental analysis, or other tools. For instance, if you know a high-impact economic news release is imminent, observing how the strategy responds can offer a complementary perspective, highlighting when volume or volatility meets your predefined thresholds.
4. Frequent Tuning and Continuous Improvement:
Each week, we’ll update and re-backtest the parameters against the preceding week’s data. This iterative approach means that improvements, condition tweaks, or additional filters may be introduced over time, allowing the strategy to adapt and potentially increase its profitability.
Different Ways It Can Be Useful:
• Active Day Traders: If you’re constantly monitoring the market throughout the trading session, use this strategy’s frequent signals and alerts to quickly act on fleeting opportunities.
• Part-Time Traders: Even if you can’t watch every minute, set up alerts on your mobile or desktop devices. The script’s conditions can signal periods of unusual market activity, letting you decide on the fly if a trade is warranted.
• Market Structure & News Traders: By focusing on volume and volatility spikes, the strategy naturally aligns with key news releases and times of institutional participation. It can serve as a second opinion, confirming when a sudden market shift is more than just noise.
• Testing and Learning Tool: For newer traders, the strategy can act as a learning tool. Observe how it reacts to market conditions, understand why it enters and exits trades, and refine your own discretionary approach based on its performance.
